We are delighted to welcome Gopika Gopakumar Moothedath, a PhD scholar in Education from the University of Bath, who will be conducting research on early childhood education, to our Center for Child Development. Gopika is a recipient of the prestigious ESRC-SWDTP studentship awarded by UKRI (UK Government). Her PhD research, titled “Drama-Based Pedagogy for Marginalized Children in Indian Preschools: Research, Intervention, and Impact,” focuses on preschool children among tribal communities. Through her research, Gopika aims to study the existing teaching and learning pedagogy in preschools and develop a contextually relevant drama-based pedagogy with the teachers. She has joined our team as a Research Associate, and we look forward to this collaboration leading to a highly impactful research outcomes.
